BIO
INFLUENCES:
With influences ranging from Classical to Blues, Charlee Ray Price's
lyrical phrasing and guitar melodies blend together forming each of
her catchy Folk-Rock songs. Some of Charlee's influences include:
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Buckley, Fleetwood Mac, Ani Difranco,
Elliot Smith, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis and many others.
With musicians on both sides of her family she expressed an interest
in music at an early age. Having studied several instruments before
reaching high school, Charlee had not yet found her place in music.
It wasn't until she strummed a guitar for the first time that she
realized where she belonged. Nine years after first plucking a dusty
old guitar that sat in her mother's closet, and half a dozen music
teachers later, Charlee has developed her own picking style.
RECORDING:
In the recording of this cd, Charlee plugged her acoustic/electric
Ibanez guitar into her computer. Using a computer program called
Cakewalk, she was able to record separate tracks for both vocals
and guitar. All of the songs on this cd were written and recorded
by Charlee Ray Price.
